The heirs of the late tycoon Henry Sy have maintained their position as the wealthiest Filipinos, according to Forbes’ latest list of the 50 richest in the Philippines. Teresita Sy Coson, Henry Sy Jr., and siblings Hans, Herbert, and Harley have a combined net worth of $13 billion, a decrease from $14.4 billion last year, attributed to the weaker peso.
Ports magnate Enrique Razon Jr. secured the second spot, with his net worth soaring to $11.1 billion. Forbes highlighted the 80 percent surge in shares of his company, International Container Terminal Services, driven by global trade recovery and expansion efforts.
Real estate mogul Manuel Villar placed third with a net worth of $10.9 billion, as his companies benefited from the booming property market by branching into high-rise apartments.
