The Dakilang Manggagawang Pilipino (DMP) sa UAE 2024 has narrowed its field from nearly 200 nominees to 20 finalists, who recently showcased their inspiring stories as Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) during a deliberation process. The top 10 finalists have now been selected to advance to the grand finals, leaving a strong impression on the panelists with their exceptional journeys.
Now in its fourth season, the DMP 2024 is an initiative by Pinas Cargo, conceptualized by Marlyn Castro, the CEO of Pinas Group of Companies. The program emphasizes four key criteria: excellence in family life, work, community involvement, and faith. This year’s top 10 finalists include Keziah Sarah Barbosa (Real Estate Agent, Dubai), Jonnel Garcia (Primary Teacher, Ras Al Khaimah), Rodel Batugon (Furniture Installer, Dubai), Ronald Calub (Admin Assistant, Dubai), Sarah Murillo (Nanny, Dubai), Aries Galang (SPED Teacher, Dubai), Dan Mark Diokno (Office Staff, Dubai), Carla Mae Palentinos (Household Manager, Dubai), Jeffrey Paule (Business Development Manager, Dubai), and Veron Ramos (Chef, Abu Dhabi).
The judging panel for this year’s competition comprises Mr. Joselito Echivarria (Daddy Bluebird), a four-time DMP panelist and brand ambassador of Pinas Cargo; Dr. Mary Jane Alvero Al Mahdi, CEO of Prime Group of Companies; Ms. Ellanie Villena, Vice President of the Filipino Social Club and CEO of Angel Wings International Tourism; Ms. Beth Climaco-De Guzman, Marketing Head of Ichiryu Ramen House and Tako Ichiban House; and Engr. Marlon Robel, a corporate trainer and life coach.
The finalists are set to participate in a series of activities, including team building exercises, a dhow cruise, desert safari, and city tours around Dubai, culminating in the grand finals on October 6 at Knight Castle Hotel, Dubai.
