Toddler in Pangasinan dies after falling into pot of boiling water

A tragic accident in San Fabian, Pangasinan led to the death of a two-year-old boy who fell into a pot of boiling water last Thursday.

According to a report by GMA Regional TV’s CJ Torida, the child’s grandmother, Vivian Navarro, was boiling water outside their house when the incident occurred. Navarro recalled placing the pot near their home, unaware that her grandson and other children were playing nearby.

“We suddenly heard crying and thought the kids were just quarreling, but it quickly became a cry for help,” Navarro said in Filipino. Upon checking, they found the boy in the pot and immediately pulled him out.

The toddler was rushed to the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City but passed away the following day.

The Department of Health advises using a cold compress, bandaging the burn, and seeking immediate medical attention in cases of severe scalding.
