A peaceful family ride in Antalya, Turkey, turned into a nightmare when a horse bit a three-year-old boy and flung him several meters into the air, local media reported.
According to a Gulf News report, Mohammed Al Qassoum, who has lived in the Konyaaltı district’s Molla Yusuf neighbourhood for about 10 years, was with his wife and young son Omar when they stopped by a roadside pen to let the animal-loving child feed a horse. Al Qassoum gave the animal grass before handing some to Omar, while the boy’s mother recorded the moment.
But in a shocking turn, the horse suddenly reared, bit Omar under his arm, and yanked him from his father’s arms, hurling him more than three meters away. Screams rang out as Al Qassoum rushed to his son, while his wife called emergency services.
Paramedics treated Omar at the scene before taking him to the hospital, where doctors found a deep bite wound and several bruises from the fall. Medical staff were reportedly stunned after watching the video of the incident.
Omar has since been discharged in stable condition, but his father said the ordeal has left a deep impact — his once animal-loving son is now afraid of them.
