TJ Monterde, KZ Tandingan donate ₱1 million to Angat Buhay for Typhoon Tino victims in Visayas

Filipino singer-songwriter couple TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan have donated ₱1 million to Angat Buhay to support communities in the Visayas devastated by Typhoon Tino, their agency Cornerstone confirmed in a social media post.

The donation was raised through the overwhelming generosity of Filipinos who attended Monterde’s Sarili Nating Mundo concerts in Perth, Sydney, and New Zealand, along with contributions from the couple and their tour team.

While the fund was initially meant to assist both Visayas and Mindanao, the pair decided to prioritize the Visayas region after Typhoon Tino inflicted heavy damage and displaced thousands of families. They said they remain committed to raising additional resources for Mindanao communities in the coming weeks.

Angat Buhay, a non-governmental organization founded by former Vice President Leni Robredo, will oversee the distribution of aid. The group focuses on disaster relief, education, health, and community empowerment, and has assisted more than 20,000 families since its establishment.
