A deadly road accident involving three vehicles in Oman’s North Al Batinah Governorate has left three people dead and three others injured, according to the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority.
The incident took place in Luya Governorate, where emergency response teams were dispatched to the crash site to carry out rescue operations and provide immediate medical assistance.
On Sunday, the authority released a video showing the extent of the damage at the scene, along with the ongoing efforts of rescue personnel. The footage showed responders drilling into a severely damaged vehicle in order to reach occupants believed to be trapped inside.
The injured victims were treated at the scene before being transported to medical facilities for further care. Officials said the injuries ranged from moderate to critical.
No additional details have been released about the circumstances of the crash.
Authorities continue to remind motorists to follow traffic rules and remain cautious on the roads to help prevent serious accidents.
