Three Arab men were arrested in Ras Al Khaimah after police raided two warehouses stocked with counterfeit cosmetics and accessories, authorities revealed on Wednesday. Over 650,000 fake “branded” items, including lipsticks and shampoos valued at Dh23 million, were seized in the operation.
According to a Khaleej Times, the raid followed a tip-off from the Economic Development Department, prompting the police to form a special task force. The team monitored the warehouses for several days and identified suspicious activities related to the loading and storage of goods.
Col Omar Al Oud Al Tineji, director of the Criminal Investigations and Investigative Affairs Department, confirmed that the suspects have been referred to the public prosecution for further legal action. The task force involved the Organised Crime Department and the Monitoring and Commercial Protection Department.
