In celebration of Philippine Independence Day, City Centre Deira is shining a spotlight on the Filipino community with a series of cultural festivities running from June 5 to 15, culminating in a vibrant program on June 12.
The highlight of the celebration will be the much-anticipated flag-raising ceremony on June 12 at 3 PM, led by His Excellency Ambassador Alfonso Ferdinand Ver. He will be joined by Fuad Mansoor Sharaf, Managing Director of Majid Al Futtaim Properties, in a symbolic act of unity held at Level 2, facing the Aloft Entrance.
Right after the ceremony, over 100 students in traditional attire will bring the spirit of the Philippines to life in a cultural parade, complete with a marching band and participation from the Filipino Social Club-Dubai.
Shoppers can also experience Filipino creativity at a customisation booth from June 6 to 15, where they can design their own tote bags and charms. Access is granted with receipts amounting to AED 200, excluding Carrefour purchases.
Adding more thrill to the festivities, City Centre Deira is offering SHARE members a chance to win big. A Spend & Win raffle running throughout the event period gives shoppers who spend AED 300 an opportunity to win a total of 127,000 SHARE points—equivalent to AED 12,700.
