Sharjah has announced an extension of paid public parking hours during Ramadan, with fees applicable daily from 8 AM until midnight, the Sharjah City Municipality confirmed on Monday.
In addition, neighborhood parks will welcome visitors from 4 PM to midnight, while Al Seyouh Family Park, Al Seyouh Ladies Park, Sharjah National Park, and Al Rolla Park will extend operations until 1 AM.
The municipality has also stepped up preparations for the holy month, implementing stricter monitoring of food establishments. A team of 380 inspectors has been deployed to oversee food sales, ensure compliance, and address any violations across the city.
Businesses planning to operate beyond midnight during Ramadan have also been given the opportunity to apply for permits, with applications for restaurant food preparation and display having opened on February 17.
Ramadan is expected to start on Saturday, March 1, based on recent astronomical calculations, and will likely last the full 30 days.
