The Loved One continues to dominate cinemas in the Emirates, holding its position as the number one movie in the UAE based on three-day box office admissions.
According to figures shared online by Viva Films, the romantic drama recorded 10,760 admissions during its opening three-day weekend, securing the top rank among films currently screening in the country. The post highlighted the strong turnout from audiences, particularly among the Filipino community in the UAE.
The film stars Anne Curtis as Ellie and Jericho Rosales as Eric, portraying former lovers who unexpectedly reconnect years after their separation. Written and directed by Irene Emma Villamor, the movie unfolds through a non-linear narrative that shifts between present-day encounters and flashbacks spanning a decade of their relationship.
Now showing in selected UAE cinemas, The Loved One continues its theatrical run following its February release in the country. The film is also scheduled to expand to Saudi Arabia and Qatar beginning March 5.
