Taiwan offers 5,000 job opportunities for Filipinos through upcoming job fairs

The government of Taiwan, in collaboration with the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO), is offering around 5,000 job openings for Filipino workers, according to a GMA News report, citing MECO Chairperson and Resident Representative Cheloy Garafil.

To fill these vacancies, MECO has organized three job fairs in the Philippines. The events are scheduled to take place in Quezon City, Cabanatuan City in Nueva Ecija, and San Jose del Monte City in Bulacan.

On Wednesday, MECO and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), with support from local officials, conducted the first job fair at the City Sports Complex in San Jose del Monte. The local government reported that 1,500 job vacancies in Taiwan were made available for residents.

Another job fair is set for Friday, January 10, in Quezon City. The “One in Taiwan: An Opportunity for New Employment” event will begin at 9:00 AM at West Avenue, Barangay Nayong Kanluran, as announced by the Quezon City Public Employment Service Office.

These job fairs aim to connect Filipinos with employment opportunities in Taiwan, addressing the demand for skilled workers in various industries.
