An Indian expatriate, Venkata, hit the jackpot by winning Dh1 million in the latest Mahzooz lucky draw, becoming the 56th millionaire in the guaranteed raffle series. This isn’t his first win though; he previously clinched the third prize of Dh250 in the 140th draw.
Meanwhile, a Pakistani participant, Muhammad, didn’t leave empty-handed either. He secured Dh50,000 worth of gold coins, celebrating his win as a part of the ongoing 5-week Golden Summer Draws.
Venkata, a resident of the UAE for 13 years, works as a porter for a renowned supermarket chain. Known for his dedication, Venkata has tirelessly worked to support his wife and four children. The unexpected phone call from Mahzooz earlier this week, announcing his win, has changed the course of his life.
Describing the moment, Venkata expressed, “This is a first for me. Winning such an amount is a completely new experience. My persistence in participating in Mahzooz draws, even after not winning initially, has finally paid off.”
Having participated in the Mahzooz draws for nearly ten months, Venkata has grand plans for his winnings. Top on his list is to clear his house loan back in India, relieving his family of financial pressures. Additionally, he aspires to venture into business.
In the same draw, 2,770 participants also had a reason to celebrate, sharing Dh859,000 between the second and third prizes. Muhammad, the winner of the gold coins, also joined this esteemed list of winners.
