Dubai is about to get even more enchanting for arts enthusiasts with the unveiling of a second opera house in the city. According to WhatsOn UAE, Azizi Venice in Dubai South will soon be the proud host of this architectural marvel, promising a rich array of cultural performances.
The Azizi Venice Opera House, dubbed a ‘floating masterpiece’ by Azizi Developments, boasts a distinctive design akin to the beloved Dubai Opera in Downtown Dubai. Set against the backdrop of the Crystal Lagoon and a mesmerizing dancing fountain, this golden edifice will offer seating for 2,000 attendees, promising a diverse lineup of musicals, operas, concerts, ballets, and more.
In addition to serving as a cultural hub, the Azizi Venice Opera House will cater to private events, including weddings and exclusive theater productions. Visitors can also look forward to exploring the Opera House Museum, offering insights into the center’s construction and evolution.
Beyond the Opera House, Azizi Venice will feature a luxurious pedestrian-friendly boulevard, destined to become a hotspot for retail therapy, nightlife, and dining experiences. The community will also house three hotels, including two five-star accommodations, nestled amidst the serene lagoon.
While an official completion date for this ambitious 30 billion dirham project remains undisclosed, estimates suggest it could be operational anytime between 2025 and 2028.
