Stolen at birth: Man discovers millionaire parents after 33 years

A story straight out of a drama series unfolded in China, where a 33-year-old man discovered he was stolen at birth by a doctor and grew up with a poor family. The man, Zhang Huaiyuan, recently reunited with his millionaire biological parents in a joyous celebration.

According to a GMA Integrated Newsfeed report, Zhang’s return to his biological family was filled with heartfelt moments, including a warm embrace from his mother, who had been led to believe by the doctor that her newborn had died. The doctor had informed Mrs. Li, who gave birth prematurely at six months, that her baby did not survive. Mrs. Li and her husband never saw their child and were unaware that Zhang had been taken by the doctor to a childless relative.

Raised in poverty and unable to complete his education, Zhang’s life took a significant turn when the man he believed to be his father passed away. On his deathbed, Zhang’s adoptive mother revealed the truth about his origins. With the help of the police, Zhang tracked down his biological parents, confirming their relationship through a DNA test.

Upon reuniting, Zhang’s wealthy parents gifted him CNY 1.2 million, equivalent to over PHP 9.7 million. Mr. Li, Zhang’s father, expressed his joy at finally being able to celebrate his son’s birthday, saying, “From this year on, our family will finally celebrate it together.”
