Jessy Mendiola stood firmly by her husband, Luis Manzano, as he trails in the race for Batangas vice governor in the 2025 midterm elections, sharing a heartfelt message on social media to express her unwavering support.

In a poignant Instagram post, Jessy reminded her followers of faith’s power during difficult times. “One of the greatest gifts is knowing that God’s plans are always more beautiful than your disappointments,” she wrote, adding, “HE will sustain you during your hardest battles and save you from harm’s way because only HE knows what is meant for you.”

Her post included a calming video of a scenic view and an inspirational faith-based graphic that highlighted the enormity of the universe and the comforting presence of God. She also tagged Luis in her Instagram Story, writing, “Still so proud of you, [Luis], I love you,” with a green heart emoji. Luis responded by sharing her story on his account, adding, “Love you,” with three kissy face emojis.

As of May 13, 12:46 p.m., partial and unofficial results show Luis currently in second place with 552,044 votes, while incumbent Dodo Mandanas has secured the lead with 804,225 votes and has been proclaimed as Batangas vice governor by the Provincial Board of Canvassers.

Meanwhile, Luis’ mother, Vilma Santos-Recto, continues to lead the vote count for Batangas governor with 640,073 votes.
