St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dubai has announced changes to its Simbang Gabi observance as heavy rainfall and unstable weather continue to affect the city.
In an advisory issued on Thursday, the parish said there will be no online Mass specifically scheduled for Simbang Gabi, following the suspension of parish events in line with directives from the Community Development Authority. However, the regular 7:00 p.m. Mass will instead be streamed online, allowing parishioners to participate remotely.
The update follows the church’s earlier announcement cancelling all parish activities until further notice due to safety concerns brought about by the current weather conditions. Parishioners have been advised to remain at home, avoid gatherings, and comply with official guidance as authorities continue to issue weather-related advisories.
Church officials said further updates will be shared once new instructions are issued, as the situation develops.
