Umm Al Quwain has declared a change in the workweek for government employees during the holy month of Ramadan, allowing for three-day weekends from Friday to Sunday.
This adjustment aims to offer employees more time for worship and family during this period. The official working hours from Monday to Thursday will be from 9am to 2:30pm, totaling five and a half hours daily.
This move by Umm Al Quwain follows the trend of other emirates in the UAE, which have already implemented reduced work hours and the option for remote work on Fridays during Ramadan.
