Philippine Airlines on Saturday suspended select transpacific services after severe winter weather disrupted operations across large parts of the United States, with heavy snowfall affecting multiple regions.
In a notice released by Philippine Airlines Corporate Communications, the carrier confirmed that Flight PR126 from Manila to New York scheduled for January 24, 2026, and Flight PR127 from New York to Manila set for January 25, 2026, will not operate.
The widespread storm system has continued to affect travel conditions as of January 24, prompting safety advisories for communities in the southern, midwestern, and northeastern United States. The Philippine Embassy urged Filipinos in these areas to minimize non-essential movement and make preparations for extreme winter conditions.
The airline advised passengers with upcoming US-bound or US-origin flights to frequently verify their flight status and remain alert for possible delays or additional cancellations as weather conditions evolve.
Philippine Airlines said the length of the service disruption cannot yet be determined, noting that operational decisions will depend on ongoing weather assessments and airport conditions.
