Six individuals tragically lost their lives after being struck by lightning in separate incidents in Pulilan, Bulacan, and Porac, Pampanga.
In Pulilan, Bulacan, Col. Relly Arnedo, the police director, identified the victims as siblings Rexter Enriquez, 16, Roxane Enriquez, 12, and their friend April Almorade, 11. According to initial reports, the three children were playing under a mango tree in Barangay Inaon on Wednesday. As the sky began to darken, they decided to head home but were struck by lightning while walking. They were rushed to Dr. Magdalena Reyes Hospital in Barangay Poblacion but were declared dead on arrival.
In a separate incident in Porac, Pampanga, a report indicated that three family members perished when lightning hit their hut in Sitio Pitak, Barangay Planas on Monday. The victims, Noel Ocampo, 57, his wife Marina, 52, and their son Francis Brintel, 14, were all pronounced dead at the scene.
