Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has approved the expansion plan for the Dubai Exhibition Centre in Expo City. The project will increase the venue’s exhibition space from 58,000 sqm to 180,000 sqm, with the number of annual events set to double from 300 to 600.
Once completed by 2031, the centre will be the largest indoor exhibition and events destination in the region, with a total built-up area exceeding 1 million sqm. The external exhibition plaza will cover 22,000 sqm, and there will be 7,000 sqm allocated for retail and F&B outlets, alongside 8,000 sqm of office space.
