Sheikh Hamdan shares iftar with UAE National Guard troops in Hatta

Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum joined members of the UAE National Guard for iftar in Hatta, showing his support and gratitude for their service and sacrifices.

Sheikh Hamdan, who also serves as the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, shared photos on X of his iftar with soldiers and officers stationed for patrol duties. The gathering featured shared meals and prayers, as the Crown Prince took time to interact with the troops and listen to updates on their operations in the area.

During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan was briefed on the military units’ work in border regions and learned about their Ramadan schedules. He expressed his appreciation for the dedication of the forces, especially as they spend the holy month away from their families to safeguard the nation.

“Their commitment to protecting our borders, even while apart from loved ones during Ramadan, is truly remarkable,” Sheikh Hamdan said. He also acknowledged the efforts of those working through fasting hours to maintain essential services without disruptions.

Dubai Media Office added that Sheikh Hamdan highlighted the importance of recognising the hard work of people who keep the country running smoothly, even during iftar.
