Actress Sharon Cuneta gave insight into the progress of her new mansion, which she proudly declares as earthquake-proof. Since 2020, Cuneta has been overseeing the construction of her “forever home,” which she claims can withstand an intensity 9 or 10 earthquake.
The mansion, now “more than halfway through,” boasts impressive features such as a spacious dressing room and a sprawling garden. Cuneta expressed her excitement, stating, “I have a garden that’s super big, so if I decided to build there, then I will. Maybe someday it will be for the girls, but it’s a big house so you can do so much inside.”
In a heartwarming revelation, Cuneta shared her hopes for the future, mentioning that her mansion is designed to accommodate her children’s families. “I’m praying that when Frankie and Miel get married, the spouses would agree to live there,” she said, adding a touch of humor, “Otherwise, Miguel has to bring his wife and play bowling inside the house! Mag-skating sila doon!”
Cuneta emphasized her intention to create a space where her entire family could gather comfortably. “I have a big bedroom because I want all my children and grandchildren to fit. They sleep with us when they can and still do,” she affirmed.
Furthermore, Cuneta disclosed her decision to include a room specifically for her eldest daughter KC Concepcion, who recently returned to the Philippines after an extended period abroad. However, she hinted that KC might not occupy the room permanently, jesting that she might repurpose it for another use.
The actress revealed that the mansion is situated in the south, a decision influenced by her children’s fondness for the area. “That was just really a weekend house. It could not hold all of our things,” she explained, adding that instead of purchasing a new lot, she opted to demolish the existing house and build their “forever home” there.
Cuneta also mentioned selling her previous property, explaining, “So, I demolished it and we’re building our forever home there, which is why I sold my Wack-Wack home, which I bought before I married Kiko.”
With construction publicly announced in July 2020, Cuneta shared that their home would encompass approximately 2,300 square meters spread across five lots.
