His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has directed that the Home Care Service be provided free of charge to elderly Emirati citizens with limited income.
Under the new directive, beneficiaries will continue to receive the full amount of their social assistance without any deductions for home care. Any amounts already deducted this month will be refunded.
The announcement was made by Maryam Majid Al Shamsi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Social Services Department, during a phone interview on Sharjah Radio and Television’s “Direct Line” programme.
