Sharjah residents can now enjoy an upgraded experience when paying their utility bills, thanks to the latest enhancements to the ‘Digital Sharjah’ platform. Authorities announced the update on Sunday, highlighting a sleek new user interface designed for better usability and convenience.
The revamped service allows Sharjah Electricity Water & Gas Authority (Sewa) customers to easily view their current and previous bills, whether linked to their Emirates ID or added manually. The platform supports viewing up to 10 previous bills in PDF format and facilitates the lodging of complaints or objections.
This initiative by the Sharjah Digital Department (SDD) showcases their dedication to continuously refining digital services. Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of SDD, stressed the importance of user feedback in shaping the development of these services, ensuring they meet community needs with high efficiency.
SDD also offers instructional videos in Arabic and English on social media, guiding users through the platform’s features. With over 60 services from 19 government and private entities, Digital Sharjah covers essential sectors in the emirate. Payment options include Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay, direct debit cards, credit cards, and the Tahseel Digital Payment System.
