Sharjah Police, in collaboration with Abu Dhabi Police, successfully intercepted a major drug trafficking attempt targeting youth in the UAE, seizing 3.5 million captagon pills in an undercover operation dubbed “Bottom of Darkness.”
The massive drug haul, weighing around 585 kilograms and valued at over AED 19 million, was hidden using sophisticated concealment techniques in an effort to evade detection. Authorities said the gang had employed camouflage tactics to smuggle the narcotics into the country.
The operation is part of intensified efforts by UAE law enforcement to combat drug trafficking and protect young people from falling victim to addiction. Investigations remain ongoing as officials continue to pursue those behind the smuggling attempt.
