Sharjah is set to make history with the launch of the UAE’s first Holy Quran TV channel on Friday, August 16. This new platform, which will operate around the clock, aims to provide continuous access to Quranic recitations and educational content, making the teachings of Islam more accessible to the public.
The channel, an initiative of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA), was established under the directive of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah. Viewers can expect a unique offering of Quranic recitations, including daily khatmah, where the Quran is recited from beginning to end by some of the world’s most respected reciters.
Beyond recitations, the channel will also feature short educational programs that simplify complex religious concepts, ensuring that the content is relatable and understandable for a broad audience. This initiative reflects Sharjah’s ongoing efforts to promote the values of the Quran and to position the emirate as a leader in religious media.
According to SBA Director Salem Ali Al Ghaithi, the Holy Quran Channel is expected to set a new standard for religious broadcasting, not only in the UAE but across the Islamic world. The channel’s mission is encapsulated in its slogan, “Be with God and you will see God with you,” symbolizing its commitment to delivering meaningful and spiritually enriching content.
