Authorities in Sharjah have taken precautionary measures ahead of forecasted adverse weather conditions by announcing the closure of all parks in the emirate over the weekend.
The Sharjah Municipality confirmed that parks will be closed starting from Friday, March 8, prioritizing the safety of the public during the expected unstable weather.
Assuring the public, the municipality stated that parks will reopen promptly once the weather conditions improve.
Earlier announcements by the National Emergency Crisis and Disasters Management Authority (NCEMA) warned of unstable weather conditions across several emirates, including Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah.
Additionally, Ras Al Khaimah authorities declared the implementation of remote learning for government schools later in the evening as part of their precautionary measures.
