Sharjah International Airport is bracing for a busy travel season, with more than 500,000 passengers expected to pass through its terminals during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.
According to the Sharjah Airport Authority, 3,344 flights are scheduled between March 27 and April 6 to accommodate the surge in travellers. In preparation, the airport has finalised all operational and logistical measures to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
Additional staff have been deployed to assist passengers, particularly senior citizens, children, and individuals with disabilities. The authority has also enhanced customer service facilities and encouraged the use of smart check-in options to ease congestion.
Passengers are advised to arrive at least three hours before their flight to avoid delays.
The airport recently reported welcoming over 17 million passengers in 2024, reflecting an 11.4% increase from the previous year.
