‘Shame on you’: Parañaque staycation spot slams untidy guests for leaving messy units

An Airbnb host in Parañaque City has issued a reminder to guests about maintaining cleanliness and order after three of its units were left in a “disrespectful state” during the holidays.

Ala Cinco Staycation, a rental property at Azure Urban Resort Residences, emphasized that the property is not a hotel but a condominium resort with house rules that must be followed. The host shared photos and videos of the messy units, showing cluttered sinks and untidy floors, to highlight the issue.

“The way you leave our units reflects not only your respect for the property but also your personal habits and standards,” the host stated on social media, adding that leaving the units in such a condition is “disrespectful” to both the property and the staff tasked with cleaning them.

The host expressed disappointment, urging guests to at least make an effort to tidy up before checking out, especially since the staff only has two hours to clean and prepare units for the next visitors.

“Treat the space as if it were your own home—or better,” the host reminded renters, noting that responsible behavior helps maintain the quality of the accommodation and its facilities.

A Facebook commenter suggested withholding a portion of guests’ payments for leaving units in poor condition, but the host replied that resolving such issues would only delay the cleaning process further.

The property features amenities such as an air hockey table, board games, Netflix access, a wave pool, and a man-made beach. Airbnb also advises guests to observe cleanliness, properly dispose of trash, and avoid leaving the property in a condition that requires deep cleaning.
