A senior citizen was stabbed in Pidigan, Abra after allegedly refusing to lend money, according to a report from Unang Balita on Friday.
Investigations revealed that a woman went to the elderly’s house to borrow PHP 2,000. However, the senior citizen was unable to provide the requested amount.
A few hours later, the woman returned and invited the elderly victim to climb a hill. It was there that the victim was stabbed with a knife.
The victim is now recovering in the hospital after sustaining eight stab wounds.
The suspect has been arrested and is facing charges of frustrated murder.
