Senator Robin Padilla is renewing his call for justice amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where over 61,000 lives have now been lost since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted in October 2023.
In a heartfelt post on Facebook, Padilla reflected on the suffering of civilians, particularly the innocent, saying his children’s barong — intricately embroidered with messages — stands as a powerful symbol of his advocacy for peace and human rights.
The Gaza Health Ministry recently reported that at least 61,020 Palestinians have been killed, including thousands of women and children, as the war enters its 11th month. International organizations have also raised alarms about worsening famine conditions and the collapse of medical infrastructure in the region.
