Second dog found shot with an arrow in Negros Occidental

Another dog fell victim to an arrow attack in Murcia, Negros Occidental, and has received medical attention.

According to a report from GMA News’ Unang Balita on Friday, a dog named “Bulldog” was found with an arrow lodged in his left leg in Barangay Caliban. Fortunately, his injuries were not as severe compared to “Tiktok,” a dog from Barangay Blumentritt, who suffered five arrow wounds.

Animal welfare advocate Dr. Aaron Pabalan Jr., who previously operated on Tiktok, also treated Bulldog’s injuries. Pabalan expressed concern over the alarming trend of dogs being used as targets for arrows.

The local government of Murcia has condemned the attacks and announced that they are willing to offer a reward for information leading to the perpetrator’s arrest.

It remains unclear whether the same type of arrow was used in both incidents.
