The popular P-pop boy group SB19, now under their new label 1Z Entertainment, has successfully secured the rights to their group name and logo. This significant achievement was announced on Tuesday, December 5, by 1Z Entertainment.
In a statement released by the label, it was revealed that an amicable agreement was reached with ShowBT Philippines Corp., the group’s former label. “Through a fair and equitable resolution, we have acquired the ownership of the SB19 name and logo,” the statement read.
The label extended its gratitude to fans for their patience and support during this period. “Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin are excited to reconnect with their fans in their future projects. We are looking forward to meeting everyone soon,” the label added.
This milestone comes after the group’s announcement in October of establishing their own agency, 1Z Entertainment, with member Pablo taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer. Since then, SB19 has been self-managing their activities.
Prior to this resolution, ShowBT had prohibited the group from using their name and logo, leading to speculation that this legal battle was behind the cancellation and postponement of several dates in their PAGTATAG! world tour. 1Z Entertainment had cited “current complexities affecting the tour” as the reason for these changes, including the cancellation of the Bangkok tour stop.
