Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that the UAE Exchange Metro Station will soon be known as Life Pharmacy Metro Station, following a new 10-year naming rights agreement.
Situated in Jebel Ali and serving as one of the starting points of the Red Line (R42), the station will undergo a full rebranding starting May until the end of August. The changes will include updated signage inside and outside the station, modifications in digital systems, public transport apps, and revised onboard audio announcements.
This development is part of the RTA’s Metro Naming Rights initiative, which began in 2009, allowing private companies to sponsor and rename metro stations across the city. The agreement for the new name was signed by Life Pharmacy Group and Hypermedia, with Mada Media representing its role as RTA’s official concessionaire.
Several stations across Dubai have already undergone similar rebranding, including Al Fardan Exchange (formerly Al Khail), Al Garhoud (formerly GGICO), and others such as JLT, Umm Sheif, Mashreq, Marina, and Al Safa.
