Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reached out to UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Saturday, with the call centering on what both leaders described as Iranian attacks that struck the UAE and several other countries in the region.
Riyadh offered more than words of condemnation during the exchange. The Crown Prince conveyed Saudi Arabia’s readiness to place all of its capabilities at the UAE’s disposal in whatever measures Abu Dhabi chooses to take, a commitment that went beyond a standard expression of solidarity.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed acknowledged the Saudi position and expressed appreciation for the kingdom’s support.
The two leaders converged on a shared concern about what they characterized as a pattern of violations against state sovereignty and international law, describing the attacks as a dangerous escalation with consequences for regional security that extend beyond the two countries alone.
Both sides called for restraint and diplomatic solutions as the preferred path to preserving stability across the region.
