Saudi Arabia executes six Iranians for drug trafficking

Saudi Arabia executed six Iranian nationals convicted of drug trafficking, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Wednesday.

The individuals were sentenced to death in the Eastern Province after being found guilty of smuggling hashish into the country.

Following their arrest by Saudi security forces, the suspects were tried in court, where their guilt was established. The death sentence was upheld through appeals and affirmed by the Supreme Court before receiving royal approval for execution, SPA reported.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized its commitment to safeguarding citizens and residents from drug-related threats by enforcing strict penalties on those involved in smuggling and trafficking activities.
