Saudi Arabia has officially announced that Eid Al Fitr will begin on Sunday, March 30, 2025, after the Shawwal crescent was sighted on the evening of the 29th day of Ramadan.
The sighting signals the end of the holy month, with Ramadan concluding at 29 days this year. Eid Al Fitr, which falls on the first day of Shawwal in the Islamic calendar, marks a time of celebration for Muslims worldwide.
In line with the holiday, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has declared a four-day break for workers in the private and non-profit sectors. The official holiday runs from Sunday, March 30 to Wednesday, April 2, with regular work resuming on Thursday, April 3. When combined with the weekend, employees are in for a six-day break.
