Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) will introduce three new bus routes beginning Friday, November 29, to improve connectivity and convenience for residents and visitors, Khaleej Times reported.
One of the highlights is Route 108, which will directly connect Satwa Bus Station to Global Village. The route will operate on weekends, public holidays, and during special events, with services running from 2 PM to 1 AM and trips every 60 minutes.
The other two routes are feeder and community links: Route F63, which will connect Al Ras Metro Station to Union Bus Station via Al Khaleej and Naif Streets, and Route J05, providing a link between Mira Community and Dubai Studio City through Neshama Townhouses.
On the same day, the RTA will streamline several existing routes to enhance passenger experience. Key changes include modifying Route 5 to exclude Al Ras Metro Station, shortening Route 33 to terminate at Karama Bus Station, and adjusting Route 91 to cover Business Bay and the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) stop in both directions.
Additional adjustments will optimize routes like J02, which will now focus on Arabian Ranches to Dubai Production City, and J04, which will expand to include Sports City. Changes to feeder routes, such as F38 serving Al Jurf Heights and F39 now including Etihad Mall, aim to better connect neighborhoods.
The RTA will enhance a total of 30 bus routes to improve scheduling and alignment with passenger needs, ensuring smoother and more efficient travel across the city.
