Vice President Sara Duterte’s satisfaction rating saw a significant decline in June 2024, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey. The survey, conducted between June 23 and July 1, 2024, revealed a +44 net satisfaction rating for Duterte, down from +63 in March.
The survey results show that 65% of respondents were satisfied with Duterte’s performance, while 21% expressed dissatisfaction. This 19-point drop is notable, with declines observed across various regions and demographic groups. In Mindanao, her stronghold, Duterte’s satisfaction rating slipped to +73 from +80 in March. Other regions also saw reductions: Visayas at +47, Metro Manila at +32, and Balance Luzon at +31.
The survey further indicated that Duterte’s rating fell by 22 points in rural areas, dropping from +68 in March to +46 in June. Among different age groups, her satisfaction rating decreased most sharply among those aged 55 and above, with a 30-point drop from +57 to +27.
In comparison, Senate President Francis “Chiz” Escudero received a +47 satisfaction rating, while Speaker Martin Romualdez and Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo garnered +29 and +31 ratings, respectively.
The SWS survey involved face-to-face interviews with 1,500 adults nationwide and had sampling error margins of ±2.5% for national percentages. The survey was non-commissioned.
