Vice President Sara Duterte confirmed that she, not artificial intelligence, was the person seen dancing in a viral TikTok video. Speaking to reporters, Duterte said, “Totoo ‘yun, hindi AI iyong TikTok video. Ako iyon,” addressing speculation about the video.
She explained that she made the videos to help a colleague exploring content creation. “Sabi ng kasama ko, ‘Content creator na ako… Pwede mo bang tulungan ‘yung account ko,'” Duterte shared, noting that it was a simple request to promote the account.
Duterte was also spotted recently eating street food and visiting Baclaran Church in Parañaque, which she described as “normal” behavior for her, particularly in her hometown of Davao, where people no longer take notice of her public appearances.
These recent activities come amid ongoing criticism of her, including accusations of diverting attention from alleged misuse of her office’s confidential funds. Duterte, in response, said critics are also creating diversions, adding that her office addresses issues in the “proper forum.”
Duterte also reacted to criticism labeling her as “mentally unstable,” following her recent remarks criticizing President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. She said she is open to a psychological evaluation, provided that congressional candidates in the 2025 elections also undergo drug testing.
