Sam Milby confirms split with Catriona Gray, denies third-party rumors

Actor-singer Sam Milby has confirmed that he and former Miss Universe Catriona Gray have ended their relationship, finally putting an end to ongoing speculation about their breakup.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News on Wednesday, February 19, Milby acknowledged their split but assured that there was no ill will between them.

“We’re okay,” he stated before directly confirming that they are no longer together.

Addressing rumors that a third party—specifically singer Moira Dela Torre—was involved in their breakup, Milby firmly denied the speculation.

“There was never a third party sa amin ni Cat. That needs to be cleared,” he emphasized. “There is no truth to it at all. It makes me sad. May babala ako sa mga tao. Please mag-ingat kayo sa mga nakikita niyo online.”

The actor also responded to questions regarding Gray’s viral video at TJ Monterde’s concert, where she was seen in tears during the performance of Hanggang Dito Na Lang. He, however, refrained from commenting on her emotions.

“If you wanna ask her what she was feeling, I can’t speak for her. I know that we’re okay,” he said, adding that he even went backstage after the concert.

Gray has yet to issue a statement regarding Milby’s remarks.

The two first announced their engagement in February 2023, but rumors of a split had been circulating since early last year. Entertainment insider Ogie Diaz previously claimed they had broken up, though their management, Cornerstone Entertainment, had only confirmed that they were facing “relationship issues” at the time.

Further speculation arose when Gray deleted their engagement photos from her Instagram. The couple was reportedly set to wed in 2024.
