Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri announce their break-up after six years

Celebrated South Korean actors Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri have ended their relationship, confirmed by their respective agencies on November 13. The couple, who had been dating for six years, first met on the set of the 2015 series “Reply 1988.”

C-Jes Studio, representing Ryu Jun-yeol, and Creative Group ING, representing Hyeri, jointly stated the break-up, as reported by Soompi. “It is true that they broke up,” the agencies announced, providing no further details on the matter.

Ryu Jun-yeol, 37, has gained widespread recognition for his roles in films such as “The King,” “A Taxi Driver,” “Little Forest,” “Believer,” and the series “The Night Owl.” Hyeri, 29, initially rose to fame as a member of the K-pop girl group Girl’s Day and has since established herself as an actress, starring in “Hyde Jekyll, Me,” “My Roommate is a Gumiho,” “Moonshine,” and the upcoming “May I Help You?”

The couple’s relationship was publicly acknowledged in August 2017 after they appeared together in “Reply 1988.”
