Tatyana Ozolina, the Russian social media star known as “MotoTanya,” has tragically died in a motorcycle accident in Türkiye. The 38-year-old influencer, celebrated for her daring global journeys, passed away near Milas in Mugla province.
Just days before the accident, Ozolina had shared a photo from Akcaabat, documenting her trip along the Black Sea coast from Georgia to the Greek border. The fatal crash occurred on the Milas-Soke highway, where her red 2015 BMW S1000RR motorcycle collided with a truck. Despite swift emergency response, the impact was too severe, and Ozolina was pronounced dead at the scene. She is survived by her 13-year-old son.
Turkish rider Onur Obut, who was with Ozolina at the time, was seriously injured and taken to Milas State Hospital. Another biker present was unharmed.
Recently, Ozolina had been denied entry into the European Union at the Greek border due to restrictions on Russians following the conflict in Ukraine. In her last social media post, she expressed disappointment but remained hopeful as she continued her journey in Türkiye.
Ozolina, also known as “Russia’s most beautiful biker,” had a substantial online following with 5 million TikTok followers, 2 million on YouTube, and 1 million on Instagram. She was honored as the Travel Blogger of the Year by Kickstarter in April and Motoblogger of the Year in 2023.
The circumstances of the crash are under investigation. Andrei Ivanov, head of the MotoMoscow Association, paid tribute to Ozolina, highlighting her influence in the motorcycling community.
