On Tuesday night, January 30, social media buzzed with excitement as photos and videos of popular Filipino actors Kathryn Bernardo and Jericho Rosales surfaced online. The duo was spotted engaged in a jogging session.
Facebook user Joanne Canja shared a couple of photos, including a selfie with both Bernardo and Rosales. She captioned her post, “Post ko na din sa wall ko para may remembrance. Kasabay lang namin mag-jogging sila Kathryn Bernardo and Jericho Rosales. ‘Wag na mag-showbiz question kasi ‘di ko alam ang sagot.” (I’m posting this on my wall for remembrance. We coincidentally jogged with Kathryn Bernardo and Jericho Rosales. Don’t ask me showbiz questions because I don’t know the answer.)
Shortly after, Canja edited her caption to clarify that there was another person with them, identifying him as John Manalo.
In addition to the photos, another social media user on X (formerly Twitter) shared a short video clip showing Bernardo, Rosales, and a third individual jogging together. However, due to the video’s angle, it couldn’t be definitively confirmed whether the third person was indeed John Manalo.
The online buzz about the jog sparked rumors of a potential on-screen pairing between the two actors. Jericho Rosales had recently expressed his interest in working with Kathryn Bernardo when he posted an Instagram story featuring Bernardo alongside other male actors, with the caption suggesting that it would make sense to collaborate with her.
This isn’t the first time that Rosales has expressed his desire to work with Bernardo. In 2019, while he was working on the teleserye “Halik,” he had already indicated his interest in a collaboration. Likewise, Kathryn Bernardo had previously expressed her admiration for Jericho Rosales as one of the prominent actors she wished to work with early in her career.
In addition to the jogging sighting, Bernardo and Rosales were also seen together during former Star Magic head Johnny Manahan’s birthday dinner on January 26, alongside other original Star Magic artists, including Maja Salvador, Bea Alonzo, John Lloyd Cruz, and Piolo Pascual.
