Actress Rufa Mae Quinto and her husband, Trevor Magallanes, have confirmed they are in the process of ending their eight-year marriage. Magallanes, a financial analyst based in the US, made the announcement via his Instagram stories on Friday, Dec. 13.
“I want to make myself clear that Rufa Mae and I are in the process of a divorce,” Magallanes stated, acknowledging the toll divorce takes on families. He candidly described their marriage as challenging, calling it a “sh*t show,” and emphasized his focus on co-parenting their daughter, Athena, through the difficult transition.
The announcement comes after Magallanes shared screenshots of heated conversations with Quinto on social media, fueling speculation about their split. Quinto has yet to address the divorce directly but recently posted a glam photo on Instagram with the caption, “Kaya pa,” sparking curiosity among followers.
In a separate controversy, Quinto faces legal battles over alleged violations of the Securities Regulation Code related to Dermacare, a company involved in investment issues. Quinto has denied any involvement in fraudulent activities, asserting she is also a victim and will cooperate fully with authorities to clear her name.
Quinto and Magallanes married in November 2016 and welcomed their daughter in February 2017.
