Dubai’s transport network is gearing up for the National Day long weekend, with the Roads and Transport Authority outlining adjusted schedules across its key services. The update covers everything from customer centres and parking to metro, tram and bus operations during the 54th National Day holiday.
As part of the changes, traditional Customer Happiness Centres will not open on December 1 and 2. Digital access, however, remains uninterrupted through Smart Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Twar and the RTA Head Office, which will continue running 24/7.
Service Provider Centres are also pausing operations for the same two-day period, with regular hours resuming on December 3.
Public transport will follow extended and adjusted schedules. The Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines will operate from 5:00 am to 1:00 am on November 29, shift to an 8:00 am start on November 30, and return to a 5:00 am opening on December 1 and 2. The Dubai Tram will also run on a modified timetable, starting at 6:00 am on November 29, at 9:00 am on November 30, and again from 6:00 am on the two holiday dates, with services ending at 1:00 am throughout.
Commuters relying on buses can check holiday adjustments for December 1 and 2 through the S’hail app, where RTA will publish route-specific updates.
Parking fees will be waived across Dubai during the Eid Al Etihad break, with the exemption applying on both December 1 and 2. Multi-storey car parks and Al Khail Gate N-365 remain excluded from the free-parking period. Charges resume on December 3.
The authority said the holiday schedules are being rolled out to support smooth travel as residents move around the city for National Day events and celebrations.
