Maiqui Pineda, the wife of TV host Robi Domingo, shared a heartwarming announcement on Instagram, revealing that she is now in clinical remission.
“The best early Christmas gift we could ever ask for – my doctor officially told me that I’m in clinical remission!” Maiqui wrote, expressing her joy and gratitude.
She explained that clinical remission means the signs and symptoms of her autoimmune disease are now barely detectable, even if it isn’t completely cured. “In short – I’m okay!” she added.
Maiqui shared that she received the news during a November trip to Singapore, where her doctor called her a “Christmas miracle.”
“I’m beyond grateful for this gift and for the prayers and support that helped me keep going,” she said. “Please know that it made a difference, so thank you!”
Robi and Maiqui’s celebrity friends flooded the comments with their congratulations. Anne Curtis wrote, “Awesome news! Happy, happy holidays!”
The couple, who tied the knot in January after their engagement in November 2022, has faced challenges since Maiqui’s diagnosis in 2023 with dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease.
