Global superstar Ricky Martin has been confirmed as one of the headline performers for the 2025–2026 edition of Saadiyat Nights, Abu Dhabi’s premier open-air concert series.
The Puerto Rican icon will take the stage at Saadiyat Island on 31 January 2026, marking his long-awaited debut in the UAE capital. Known worldwide as the “King of Latin Pop,” Martin is expected to bring his signature high-energy performances and chart-topping hits to local and international fans.
Earlier this year, Martin made history as the first recipient of the Latin Icon Award at the MTV Video Music Awards, where his viral performance of classics like Livin’ la Vida Loca reaffirmed his legendary status. The song, which originally topped charts in more than 20 countries, recently reclaimed the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Latin Digital Song Sales chart—over 25 years after its release.
With a career spanning more than three decades, Martin’s catalogue of global anthems includes The Cup of Life, María, Vente Pa’Ca, La Mordidita, and Vuelve. His 1999 Grammy Awards performance of The Cup of Life is widely credited with paving the way for Latin artists in the global music industry.
Martin joins a Saadiyat Nights lineup that also features Italian pianist Ludovico Einaudi on 10 January and Scottish singer-songwriter Lewis Capaldi on 17 January, with more acts to be announced soon.
