The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has announced a hassle-free solution for expiring UAE residence visas. According to an official Instagram post, residents can now renew their visas up to 90 days before expiration, providing ample time for planning and avoiding last-minute rushes.
No need to fret about fines during the grace period either. The ICP ensures that residents have a window of time post-expiration to renew their visas without facing additional financial penalties.
For those seeking timely reminders, the ‘UAEICP’ app, available on both Apple and Android devices, offers convenient notifications. By logging in with UAE Pass and enabling notifications, users can stay updated on their visa expiration dates, facilitating prompt renewals.
Renewing your UAE residence visa is a straightforward process, especially with the UAEICP app. Simply apply for ‘renew residency’ within the app, and proceed to a nearby medical fitness test center with the application form. Upon receiving the test results via SMS and email, users can finalize the renewal process through the app and expect visa issuance within 48 hours.
The costs for renewal include application fees of Dh100, issuance fees of Dh100 per year, and an eChannel services fee of Dh150.
