The UAE Ministry of Education has introduced the “Ramadan with the Family” initiative, designating all Fridays during the holy month of Ramadan as remote learning days for public school students.
According to a Gulf News report, the initiative is aimed at giving pupils more time to engage in spiritual and family activities while continuing their academic progress. However, students who have pre-scheduled exams on Fridays will still attend their tests as planned.
To support this, the Ministry has provided guidelines for various student activities that parents can facilitate at home. These activities are designed to strengthen family bonds, promote cultural and religious traditions, and create a meaningful learning environment.
While remote learning is encouraged, schools will remain open on Fridays for students whose parents prefer in-person attendance. Teachers and staff will be available to accommodate them.
